Jr NTR is celebrating his 38th birthday today and of course, it is a low-key affair. With the Corona crisis looming large on the country and stricter lockdowns being enforced in various states, the Tollywood star abstained from celebrating his birthday in a grand manner.
However, social media is abuzz with wishes pouring down for the super star from the netizens.
Significant among those who wished the birthday boy is his aunt and BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari. She tweeted: @tarak9999 You are very special and that’s why you need to float with lots of smiles on you lovely face. Happy birthday Rockstar.
Her wishes to Jr NTR on his birthday raked up the issue of the actor’s entry into politics. In the recent past, there had been demands frequently made by NTR fans and TDP activists that the Tollywood hero should indulge in active politics as some TDP leaders felt that he was the only force who could bring in vigour into the party which is facing its worst crisis ever.
During TDP president and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu’s recent Kuppam tour too, slogans were raised that Jr NTR should be brought into the party and Naidu remained silent over the issue.
Now, Purandeswari’s wishes led to speculation that she is trying to woo the actor into the BJP, which is trying to gain ground in Andhra Pradesh. In the past, when asked if there was any truth in the talk that she would mentor Jr NTR if he made a political entry, she quipped that she would welcome the idea, if given due respect.
Time alone can answer the questions if Jr NTR would ever make a political entry and if so, which party would he represent.
