The face-off between YCP leadership and party rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju continues unabated. RRR, who is out on bail in connection with the sedition case filed by the AP-CID, has been writing letters to YCP president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, just as he voiced his opinions on social media in the past.
Now, he shot off another missive to Jagan stating that his name has been removed from the list of MPs in the YSRCP’s official website. Have you suspended me from the party? I do not have any clarity on the issue. Can you clear the air about it,” he asked Jagan.
The YSRC party official website has info about the party president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and other important activities of the party. This apart, it also has details about party MPs in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, of 28 members together. The name of Guru Murthy, recently elected from Tirupati LS constituency, has also been included in the list but that of RRR was missing.
Significantly, no official statement was released by the party regarding the suspension of RRR from YCP. Finding that his name has been missing from the list, RRR questioned about the same on social media.
The letter to Jagan can be considered as an ultimatum to Jagan because he said that if Jagan does not respond within 48 hours, he would appeal to the LS Speaker to declare him as an independent candidate.
A couple of days ago, YCP MP Margani Bharat Ram met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and submitted a memorandum seeking disqualification of RRR as an MP as he had been resorting to anti-YCP activities.
Now, it has to be seen whether Jagan or his party would respond to RRR’s letter.
