Telangana CM KCR’s grandson Himanshu Rao has been awarded the prestigious Diana Award for his initiative SHOMA. SHOMA is an initiative to make villages self-sustainable. Diana Award is given to the young people aged between 9 and 25 for their work towards society. Himanshu shared the news on his Twitter profile. He thanked his father KTR and grandfather KCR for giving him the right guidance throughout the project.
Himanshu wrote, “With great delight I announce that I have received my Diana Award for my tremendous Initiative SHOMA-Making Villages Self-Sustainable! More details will be announced soon! My special Thanks to the People of Gangapur-Yosufkhanpally, my mentors and of course my Grandfather who guided me throughout the project!”
Himanshu also explained what this award is all about in another tweet. He wrote, “What is Diana Awards? The Diana Award honors young people who work to improve the lives of others. The Award is the most prestigious accolade a young person aged 9-25 can receive for their social action or humanitarian work. Named after Diana, Princess of Wales.”
