Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble is undoubtedly one of the greatest bowlers in cricket history. Kumble who claimed all the 10 wickets in a Test innings has offered his support to set up a sports university in Andhra Pradesh. Anil Kumble met Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at his camp office on Monday and discussed the issues including the development of sports in the state.
Kumble said that he will extend his full support if a sports University is set up in the state and the leg spinner also urged the state government to focus more on establishing sports materials manufacturing units in the state.
The former bowler requested Jagan to build the sports equipment factory. “All kinds of Sports Equipment are available from Jalandhar and Meerut only. If a sports equipment factory is set up in AP, it would be useful for everyone,” said Anil Kumble to YS Jagan.
On the other hand, rumors are rife that if at all a sports University is set up in AP, then Anil Kumble will become the VC of that University. Jagan thanked Anil Kumble for his suggestion and he is yet to take a final call regarding Kumble’s idea.
