Just 24 hours after Revanth Reddy was announced as Telangana-PCC chief, Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy made sensational comments against T-Congress incharge Manickam Tagore that the T-PCC chief post was sold just like the ‘Vote for Note’ case. Komatireddy added Telangana-PCC can be renamed as TDP-PCC.
Not stopping here, Komatireddy skipped Revanth Reddy’s taking oath ceremony as PCC chief and the buzz is that he is seriously upset and is in no mood to calm down. But Komatireddy has come out and issued a clarification about his controversial remarks and tried to settle the issue.
“I have all the qualifications to become T-PCC chief but I was disappointed that I did not pick up. True that I was saddened and accordingly made such comments but this doesn’t mean I would quit the Congress party even though I received many offers from all the political parties in Telangana,” said Komatireddy.
The Bhongir MP further said that people who are criticising me should take note that I resigned from my ministry for separate statehood. “As I fought for Telangana, people voted me as MP and I did not spend a penny to win the elections. I would continue to stay in Congress and support my cadre who are with me through thick and thin,” said Komatireddy.
Hinting at reconciliation, Komatireddy said, he would not indulge in group politics and leaders should not restrict themselves to Gandhi Bhavan but should reach out to people to fight against KCR government and his anti-people decisions.
Seems like Komatireddy has let his disappointment go and is likely to work with Revanth Reddy in future.
