The water dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana yet again heated politics. With Telangana ministers attacking the AP government, the same reaction is coming from the other side. However till date AP CM YS Jagan did not comment on the water dispute in public except for writing letters to the Union Jal Shakti Ministry over the concerns.
Finally Jagan opened and added that he would never have a tussle with neighbouring states like Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. At the ‘Rythu Dinothsavam’ Jagan said, “I would like to clarify that our government doesn’t want any sort of differences with neighbouring states and we always prefer to share good and cordial relations with everyone. People of all the states should live peacefully and so do people of Andhra.”
Adding, “If people need to stay in harmony then it is the responsibility of the government to maintain good relations with one another. Jagan seeks the same and for the same regard, I never intervened in Telangana politics and also in the rest of the south states. I have no intentions of intruding into other states politics in the coming days too.”
This comment is aimed at YS Sharmila who has announced her political entry marking the birth anniversary of her father YSR. But Jagan did not mention a word about Sharmila yet he classified diplomatically.
Nonetheless CM Jagan made sensible remarks as the tension between AP and TS is growing with each day passing. Unlike KCR who openly criticised AP government, Jagan maintained a soft stand and indirectly he also expressed that he is willing to solve the water dispute amicably through dialogue process.
Hope Jagan’s counterparts take his comments in a right manner and come forward to end the decades old water dispute.
