In the IPL 2024 clash between RR and RCB, Virat Kohli’s magnificent century, his eighth in the IPL, ended in disappointment as Rajasthan Royals outclassed Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets. Despite Kohli’s stellar 113* off 72 balls and a partnership of 125 runs with Faf du Plessis, RCB’s total of 183 proved insufficient. Rajasthan’s spin duo, Yuzvendra Chahal (2/34) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0/28), contained RCB’s batting lineup effectively. In response, Rajasthan chased down the target with five balls remaining, powered by Jos Buttler’s unbeaten century and Sanju Samson’s 69 off 42 balls.
