Villagers in Gandikota, Andhra Pradesh, are troubled by the drying of Erra Koneru, a 900-year-old lake, a significant tourist attraction. This is the first time they’ve seen it without water, attributing it to drought conditions. District officials vow to address the issue by proposing desilting and repair works to revive the lake.
