Indian IRS Officer Makes History with Name and Gender Change

In a historic move, the Indian government has allowed a senior IRS officer to officially change both their name and gender in all official records. M Anusuya, a 35-year-old Joint Commissioner, requested to be recognized as M Anukathir Surya, marking the first time such a change has been granted in the Indian civil services.
