Tomato prices in Delhi markets have skyrocketed to ₹90 per kg due to supply disruptions caused by heavy monsoon rains. The number of trucks carrying tomatoes from key producing states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh has decreased significantly, leading to a shortage in the capital. Wholesale rates have surged from ₹30-35 per kg to ₹60-70 per kg in just a week.
