12 Naxals Killed in Maharashtra Border Encounter

In a significant anti-Naxal operation, 12 Naxalites were killed and two security personnel injured in an encounter with police and commandos on the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border. The operation, involving C60 commandos, yielded a haul of automatic weapons and led to the recovery of 12 Naxal bodies.
