Tragic Landslides Claim 229 Lives in Southern Ethiopia

Mudslides triggered by heavy rain in southern Ethiopia have killed at least 229 people. Many victims were rescue workers buried by a second landslide while searching for survivors from the first. The number of missing remains unclear. Pregnant women and children are among the dead.
