Polavaram Project: First Phase Completion by March 2026

The Indian government announced that the first phase of the Polavaram project will likely finish by March 2026. Union Minister CR Patil informed Lok Sabha members about the delays, which were caused by contractor changes, land acquisition issues, and the COVID-19 pandemic. IIT-H is investigating the project’s slow progress.
