Union Minister Nithyanand Rai announced in the Lok Sabha that the updated cost for the first phase of the Polavaram project is Rs. 31,625 crore. The Revised Cost Committee estimated it at Rs. 30,436 crore in 2023. He noted that many promises from the Partition Act are being fulfilled at different stages.
