Heavy rains caused one gate of the Tungabhadra Dam in Karnataka to wash away, leading to a flood alert in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The incident resulted in the release of about 35,000 cusecs of water. Authorities are working quickly to repair the dam and manage the flood risk.
