The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule of the T20 World Cup scheduled to begin from October 17th. India was supposed to host this T20 World Cup but due to the Covid-19 situation in the country, UAE and Oman are given the opportunity to host the tournament.
However, the cricket fans will be eagerly looking forward for India’s match against arch-rivals Pakistan. This match is scheduled on October 24th in Dubai. The UAE cricket association is asking the BCCI to allow spectators to the stadium as the Gulf nation is least hit by the Covid-19.
The next matches of India are scheduled on October 31st and November 3rd with New Zealand and Afghanistan respectively. Post the league matches, India will has matches on November 5th and November 8th but the opponents are not finalised yet.
The finals of the T20 World Cup will be played on November 14th in Dubai. India is going to the tournament as one of the favourites with experience and youngsters. Virat Kohli who has a drought of ICC trophy will be betting huge on this shorter format of the game.
