India and Pakistan match always generate great emotions among the audiences. The rival countries are playing against one another after almost two years. In their first match in the ongoing T20 world cup, India lost the toss and came to bat first. Amidst huge expectations, India began their innings on a disappointing note. However, by the end of 20 overs, the team made 151 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
With India scoring back-to-back victories in the warm-up matches against Australia and England, it is common to expect that India will have a flying start but much to the shock of everyone, Pakistan had the upper hand in the first half of the game.
India lost the wickets of Rohit Sharma (0), KL Rahul (3), and Surya Kumar Yadav (11) in the early stage of the game. Later, Kohli and Pant tried to build a partnership but Pant (39) was limited to playing a cameo.
However, captain Virat Kohli (57) played respectable captain innings by scoring a half-century. It is because of him, India put a respectable score on board. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja also disappointed the sportslovers today.
However, Pakistan displayed an around performance. They displayed amazing skills in bowling and fielding. Especially, bowler Shaheen Afridi caught everyone’s attention by taking 3 wickets and conceived 31 runs. Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf also bowled well.
A target of 151 is not enough on the board and it is not going to be easy for India to defend this low score. Let us hope for the best.
