Sania took to Twitter to post a picture of her on the court, with the caption: “The Last Dance.”
Sania Mirza and Anna Danilina were eliminated from the Australian Open in their second-round women’s doubles match against Belgium’s Alison Van Uytvanck and Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalinina, with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 2-6.
The match lasted for nearly two hours, during which the six-time world champion Sania and her partner trailed 0-3 in the second set but made a strong comeback by winning three consecutive games.
Despite this defeat, Mirza is still competing in the mixed doubles category at the Australian Open, partnering with Rohan Bopanna. The veteran pair won their first-round match against Jaimee Fourlis and Luke Saville with a score of 7-5, 6-3.
