The much-anticipated schedule for the World Cup 2023 is here. It is already known that India is hosting all games this time. The schedule was announced today, exactly 100 days before the start of the mega tournament.
The World Cup ’23 will begin on October 5. A total of 10 teams will compete for the title over a span of 46 days. Each team will play one match against the rest of the nine teams in the league stage. 10 cities will be hosting these matches. Shockingly, Hyderabad, which enjoys a large cricket fan base, failed to get a chance to host an India game.
Defending Champions England will take on 2019 World Cup runners-up New Zealand in the opening match on October 5. The match will be held in Ahmedabad. The same ground will host the most-anticipated India vs Pakistan match on October 15.
Mumbai and Kolkata will host a semi-final game each. Ahmedabad will host the final on November 19. As of now, India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan have automatically qualified for the World Cup. Two other teams will join the list by winning the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers. Meanwhile, have a look at the schedule below and mark the dates.
