Here is the good news for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans ahead of IPL 2025. If the ongoing rumours are anything to go by, Virat Kohli will most likely given the responsibility of leading RCB once again. However, there is a small twist in this development.
According to the sources, Kohli will become captain of RCB if the team fails to get the desired players in the mega auction which will be held next month. Virat Kohli will be the top retention of RCB for sure ahead of the auction. We hear that the team will most likely retain Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell and Rajat Patidar.
Considering the current captain Faf du Plessis’s age (40 years), the team may not retain him. The reports say that Delhi Capitals will leave Rishab Pant and Lucknow Super Giants will leave KL Rahul. RCB will eye both of these star players in the mega auction. If the team fails to buy either of them, then Virat may become RCB’s skipper once again.
If Virat becomes the captain once again, RCB fans will pray to win the cup in his captaincy at least next year.
