In what could be considered a moment of pride for the Telugu community, we now have a new debutant in the Indian cricket team from Telugu land. The player in question is Nitish Kumar Reddy.
After a successful stint in the limited-overs side for India, Nitish was roped into the Test squad and was given a golden debut in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against Australia.
Nitish travelled with the team to Australia, and everyone was optimistic about him getting picked in the final XI for the opening game. Fortunately, this has happened.
