The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be exciting, with a major reshuffle of cricketers taking place. The mega auction is scheduled to happen this weekend, and in the meantime, there are reports about the dates from which the league will commence.
However, BCCI has not officially released the tournament dates, but the board reportedly sent probable dates in an email to the franchises. According to the media reports, IPL 2025 will begin on March 14th, and the final is scheduled to take place on May 25th. The 2025 season will comprise 74 matches, just like the previous season, according to the reports.
On the other hand, the board also tentatively confirmed the dates for the next two seasons apart from the 2025 edition. Going by the reports, the IPL 2026 begins on March 15th and ends on May 31st. The 2027 edition is scheduled to take place on March 14th and the final match will happen on the 30th of May.
Meanwhile, the IPL mega auction is scheduled for the 24th and 25th of this month in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The last time was in Dubai.
