Border Gavaskar Trophy: India Lost To Australia

Published by

The Border-Gavaskar trophy has officially ended. Australian team clinched the series 3-1. Team India had a disastrous event this time, and all key players struggled to perform at their best. The loss in the BGT also confirms that India is now out of the World Test Championship final.

Australia snatched the BGT after 10 years, which is a very special moment for them. This time, the series started on a high in Perth, but the Indians were handed a reality check in Adelaide. Later on, the team lost matches consecutively, with player after player showcasing a failure.

From day one itself, Team India showed a poor performance in the fifth test, leaving the match come to an end before 5 days. With that failure in the fifth test, the series ended up with 3-1.

Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Series of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25 after finishing with 32 wickets in the five-match series.

Now, Australia will play against South Africa in the World Test Championship Final.
