The much-anticipated Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is all set to begin. The cinema stars will don the cricket gear to enthrall the audiences in the stadiums. The tournament starts on February 8th at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The Telugu Warriors team unveiled their official jersey in Hyderabad yesterday. Team captain Akhil Akkineni, along with Thaman, Adi, Ashwin, Raghu, and Samrat, participated in the launch event. Action cum businessman Sachin Joshi owns the team.
Akkineni Akhil proudly stated that the Telugu Warriors have clinched the championship four times and are determined to reclaim the title this season.
The other teams taking part in the event are: Chennai Rhinos, Mumbai Heroes, Telugu Warriors, Karnataka Bulldozers, Bengal Tigers, Punjab The Sher, and Bhojpuri Dabanggs. Originally scheduled to begin on January 31 in Hyderabad, the tournament was rescheduled to February 8 due to unavoidable reasons.
The opening day will feature Chennai Rhinos taking on Bengal Tigers in the first match, followed by Karnataka Bulldozers facing Telugu Warriors in the evening. Hyderabad will host matches on February 14 and 15.
The tournament will be streamed live on Disney Plus Hotstar.
