In the 31st match of Indian Premier League, Punjab Kings won against Kolkata Knight Riders. PBKS won the match by 16 runs.

PBKS won the toss and decided to bat first.
First Innings:
Although PBKS came to bat first, they could not hold the momentum well. They scored 111 runs in 15.3 overs, for the loss of ten wickets. This is the lowest score this season. A total of 6 batsmen scored a single-digit. Prabhsimran Singh is the only batter with highest score of 30 runs. KKR bowlers did so well. Harshit Rana took three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine took 2 wickets each. Vaibhav Arora and Nortje also took a wicket each. PBKS completely failed in the batting department.
Second Innings:
Anyone would easily predict that KKR would win the game in an easy-chasing game. But, the twist in the tale arrived when the PBKS bowlers showed equal strength to the KKR bowlers. A total of 8 batsmen from KKR scored a single digit. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the only one with 30+ runs who tried to take the win to a winning zone. But then, PBKS bowlers snatched the victory from KKR. Chahal took four wickets, while Jansen took three wickets. The others took a wicket each.
In a nutshell:
The bowlers of both teams displayed amazing performances in the game. However, the batting department failed both teams. It is the lowest score of the season in both innings. With this win, PBKS is back in form. KKR once again proved that it is struggling. They won the last game but lost this one. There is inconsistency in the team, which they should work on.
