Beware IPL: Mumbai Indians Is Back!

Mumbai Indians is historically known for their most iconic comeback in the later half of the season. By the latest results that are being put up by the Mumbai franchise, it appears that they are on another comeback trajectory now.

With a comprehensive victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad last night, Mumbai Indians have secured six points on the table. In terms of table positioning, there is not too much progress as they are still confined to 7th position, but the results have been going their way now. 

There is a famous saying in the IPL, which goes like “Once Mumbai Indians start winning games in the second half of the season, they could ultimately go all the way and win the title, regardless of the opposition teams.” 

But it must also be noted that this was a thing in the past as the last time Mumbai Indians won the trophy was back in 2020. The last five years have been pathetic for the Mumbai side, and there have been no comebacks whatsoever. 

But things are looking promising this year with Mumbai, getting better and better in batting and bowling, which is a watch out sign for other teams. If Mumbai gets back in full flight and get things going their way, then it is really hard to stop them. There is no team in the league that came up against this original gangsters of IPL who had already won the tournament 5 times.
