Cricketer Yusuf Pathan, who has played for Road Safety Series along with Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, has been tested positive for Covid-19.
Pathan was part of the Sachin-led India Legends team in the recently concluded Road Safety Series. This is hours after Sachin Tendulkar who led the India Legends team to the title victory tested positive. The six-team event ended on Sunday (March 21). Five days after the series both Sachin and Pathan have tested positive.
Yusuf Pathan is said to be having mild symptoms and is quarantined at home. “I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required. I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest,” Pathan wrote on Twitter.
It can be noted that Sachin Tendulkar is also under home isolation. Now that two players of India Legends’ squad have tested positive for COVID-19, it is likely that other players might also get themselves tested. The matches were played in Raipur, with the fans allowed to witness the live action.
