The Unbearable Pain Of Fitness Industry

Published by

The vexatious lockdown and sudden Covid19 outbreak have left many industries in burden and dilemma pondering about their bleak future. Among them, gym owners and instructors are the most affected who once had a booming and thriving business.

The penniless gym owners are looking for ways to get back to normalcy amid the lockdown. Moreover, the government, though announced some relaxations, is still pushing back gym openings and it’s been 60 plus days gym remained in hibernation.

Paying high gym rents, maintenance of its equipment, and paying bank loans have become an ordeal and in order to keep their livelihood alive, some of the gym owners have also started online training. But unfortunately, they couldn’t find luck even in that as many people stopped committing to it in the long run. This is because the public is pretty much habituated with home workouts and is showing the least interest in gyms anymore.

On the other hand, clients who have their memberships over are not renewing and instead asking for the extension. This left gym owners petrified that their businesses won’t be profound like it once was.
All they are asking now is not financial support from any government but to allow them to open the gyms.

Their financial stability is feeble at the moment and definitely the fitness industry is suffering the most. Even if the government permit gym owners to start their business, it would take nearly four months to bounce back, depending on people’s interest.
