A part of Team India is currently touring Sri Lanka for an ODI and T20 series. India won the first T20 International and is looking good. However, we learned that Krunal Pandya tested positive for COVID-19 leaving all the players to be in isolation.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India along with the Srilanka Cricket Board is currently supervising the situation. All the cricket players underwent the COVID-19 tests and the results are awaited.
With this sudden anxiety in the camp, the second T20 International that is scheduled to happen has been halted. The sources say that the match will take place as per the schedule if all the players test negative.
However, the match remains doubtful. Even if all tests are negative, there is still a risk of contracting the virus.
The official confirmation on the same is awaited.
