Social media giant Instagram has levelled up its Reels project. Until now, it used to support Reels up to only 30 seconds. Now, it increased the limit to 60 seconds.
Tweeting about the same the other day, Instagram’s official handle stated, “Reels. up to 60 secs. starting today.”
When it started out, Insta used to support Reels of only 15 seconds. Within a month, it increased the limit to 30 seconds. Now, after a year of Reels’ introduction, Insta decided to extend the limit to one minute.
Meanwhile, its counterpart TikTok is way ahead of Instagram in this feature as it recently allowed its users to record videos for up to three minutes.
Apart from extending the time limit of Reels, Insta also added functionality for a captions sticker on Reels, which transcribes audio to text. It previously added this feature for stories and now, it will be available for Reels as well. However, the feature is currently limited to a few English-speaking countries and will be expanded to more countries in the coming days.
