The second T20I between India and Sri Lanka, which was supposed to be held last night, was postponed because Krunal Pandya has tested positive for COVID-19. The Indian all-rounder is under isolation ever since he was tested positive yesterday morning.
It is learned that the eight players who were in close contact with Krunal, are also in isolation now. Meanwhile, Krunal has been shifted to another hotel last night.
According to the Times of India, the players who were in close contact with Krunal are Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Krishnappa Gowtham, Devdutt Padikkal, Prithvi Shaw, and Surya Kumar Yadav. The name of the other two players is yet to be known.
The reports claimed that the match will be held tonight. However, there is no clarity if close contacts will be allowed to play the game or not. On the whole, we may see major changes in the Indian team for the next two games.
