India witnessed its 75th Independence on Sunday and the celebrations were observed in a grand manner all over the country. However, in Hyderabad some filthy rich persons celebrated the I-Day by bringing in their high-end luxury cars on roads which became headlines.
Going to the story, about 15 luxury cars belonging to the brands like Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Maserati etc hit the roads of Hyderabad and they were involved in a rally. Having received information of this, the Hyderabad Traffic police stopped these cars at Shamshabad airport.
The police reportedly enquired details of the cars and later the Road Transport Authority (RTA) was intimated. The RTA dug deep into the details of every luxury car and found out that 11 out of the 15 cars are involved in tax fraud. The cars were seized by the RTA officials and taken into custody.
The RTA officials are planning to summon notices to the car owners who are reportedly involved in tax fraud.
In fact owning a luxury car is a big scam in the country and last month, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) unearthed this scam in which billionaires of Hyderabad have a hand. The DRI has information that 20 luxury cars which are imported from different countries are roaming on Hyderabad roads.
