Yet again team India has displayed a batting collapse. On the day four of the third Test at Leeds, India started off at overnight score. But in the fourth over of the day Cheteshwara Pujara who was looking for his first century on England soil, got trapped by Ollie Robinson.
Then it was the turn of skipper Virat Kohli. Although he completed his first half century of the series, Kohli did not last long and was dismissed by Robinson too at 55. Later Rahane, Pant, Shami departed quickly.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja tried to resist but he could not tackle the English bowling. He was dismissed for 30 and in no time, the England bowlers wrapped up the tail-enders. And team India was bowled out for 278 runs just in the first session of day four.
This has become a usual practice for team India to display a horrible batting on good surfaces. Leeds pitch and conditions were absolutely good but team India batsmen failed to score.
England levelled the series 1-1 and the fourth Test will be played at Oval from September 2nd.
But team India needs to make some serious changes in the fourth match. Vice-captain Rahane is not playing the role he was supposed to and wicket-keeper Pant is also struggling while Jadeja is not that effective with both bat and ball.
