One of the most celebrated cricketers of Indian Cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is back to Team India’s camp. You must be wondering how can he make a comeback as he was retired almost a year ago. Dhoni is indeed back to the Indian camp but in a new role.
The former Indian captain and the 2007 T20 world cup winner will be working with the Indian squad as a mentor in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The BCCI has just announced the squad for the World Cup which is scheduled to be held in the UAE from October 17.
Dhoni’s inclusion will be a huge boost up because of his vast experience and successful track record in T20 cricket. Dhoni’s presence will help the current captain Virat Kohli in making some crucial on-field decisions during the games.
Moreover, fans are double excited to see Dhoni back with the Indian squad. His aura makes the atmosphere more energetic.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah said that Dhoni will work with the head coach Ravi Shastri and other staff members to provide support and direction.
India will take on Pakistan in its first match which will be held on October 24. The World Cup Final will be held on November 14.
