Viral Video From Quarantine Centre

Quarantine Centre

Hyderabad’s Gandhi Hospital is currently in ruckus with nearly 500 junior doctors on a protest demanding police protection for them. This is because one of the PG doctors have been attacked after a patient died due to COVDI19 and the deceased’s family members blamed the doctor for the death. State’s health minister Eatela Rajender assured the doctors that he would look into the matter and therefore, the healthcare staff gave the government 15-day deadline to fulfil their demands.

Amid the continuous attacks on doctors, one video is going viral on the internet which shows patients playing cricket and merrymaking, with quarantine beds, placed beside. However, the video got circulated stating that it was from Gachibowli stadium, which was made into quarantine centre. A similar video is also going viral saying that quarantine centres show people dancing to dance numbers like Lungi dance, also from Gachibowli stadium.

But, the truth is, the claims are false and the videos are not from Hyderabad’s stadium but from Baramulla indoor stadium in Kashmir. These videos are from an isolation ward in Kashmir and the ex-CM of J&K alo shared the video. To be precise, the Telangana government has converted the 14-storey sports tower at Gachibowli stadium into an isolation ward. And, the visuals in the video do not match the premises of Gachibowli stadium.

Also, another video showing patients dancing to Lungi dance is from Tripura’s Agartala. Nevertheless, the two videos showing patients enjoying their time is not taken well by the netizens as there is seen no seriousness and social distancing. Social media users asked the government to take strict action on them. It is also pathetic to learn that no staff members are there to guide them.
