Cinemark Reopens With Discounted Prices & Safety Standards

Published by

The global pandemic hit each and every field and business so hard that they had to rethink on reopening. The giant theater chain in the US, Cinemark decided to go for a phased reopen and to welcome back the loyal and movie buffs, they are showing what they do to ensure customer confidence and comfort along with discounted prices.

Movie watching in theaters is considered non-essential during the coronavirus pandemic situations but people enjoy watching certain movies in theaters. But to bring them back to theaters, the Cinemark is setting its own standards and there would be a lot of changes from the last time anyone has visited Cinemark.

Here are all the measures and standards the Cinemark is bringing on to ensure customer safety and satisfaction at the movies, as explained by Mark Zoradi, the CEO of Cinemark.

  • There will be teams sanitizing all high traffic areas every 30 minutes
  • Auditoriums will be deeply disinfected each morning
  • All the occupied seats will be disinfected between showtimes
  • Hand sanitizers and seat wipes available
  • Physical distance is maintained in lobby, seats and everywhere
  • Reducing the capacity and blocking the seats in between to ensure physical distance
  • Showtimes are set to be not crowdy at lobby and restrooms
  • Theater team members undergo safety training before reopening, also have wellness checks before every shift
  • Masks and gloves provided to team members before serving
  • Each theater will be having a chief clean safety monitor on duty to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness
  • The Cinemark is asking the loyal guests to cooperate in this process and asking them to buy tickets online and contactless cancellation if not feeling well

In a major move to welcome back the customers, Cinemark is reopening the movies with discounted prices at $5 for adults and $3 for kids for classic movies until the major releases. Needless to say that there will be little additional perks for movie club reward members.

Well, the Cinemark is opening from July 1 and let us see if the crowds throng to theaters like before and when we can see the Indian films release in Cinemark theaters.
