14-Day Self-Quarantine If visiting NY, NJ, and Connecticut

More than half of the states in the USA are seeing a downward trend with the number of coronavirus cases recorded every day, while the state Florida is on the verge of becoming the new epicenter with a big spike in a daily number of cases. Also, the other states like Alabama and Texas and North Carolina are also seeing a huge rise in the number of cases.

Once the epicenter, New York state and the states with the next highest cases during March and April, New Jersey and Connecticut, passed a new directive to the travelers from any state where the infections are high. The travel advisory applies to anyone coming from a state where the positive test rate is higher than 10 per one lakh residents over a week rolling average.

The three states said will impose a quarantine of 14 days to the travelers from states Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah, and Texas. Earlier, when the other states had seen less or none coronavirus cases when New York suffered the peak with highest daily cases n the USA and the New Yorkers were then imposed the same 14-day self-quarantine.

The states New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut flattened the curve now. The new travel advisory should be enforced by each state and the governor of New York said, violating the quarantine could be subject to a judicial order and fines up to $2000 for the first violation, $5000 for the second violation, and $10,000 if you cause harm.

This advisory applies to everyone, including those who New Yorkers or Jerseyans returning home.
