The pandemic has brought huge changes in a man’s life. Working from home, quarantines and a few more things have become the new normal for people who have never experienced this kind of lifestyle. Now we are going to witness weddings on Google Meet and dinner via Zomato delivery.
Yes a couple from West Bengal has decided to enter wedlock and with restrictions in place, they have decided to host their wedding on Google Meet and dinner for the guests would be arranged by Zomato.
Sandipan Sarkar and Aditi Das have been planning to tie knot for the past one year but the pandemic and its restrictions are playing a spoilsport. Tired of continuous delays, Sandipan and Aditi zeroed upon January 24th to tie the knot and they came up with this idea of wedding on Google Meet for the guests.
When asked about this, Sandipan said that the idea struck with him contracting the virus earlier this month. “I was hospitalized for four days following Covid-19 complications and then I decided to think of a solution to avoid large gatherings,” said Sandipan.
About 100 to 120 guests will attend the wedding physically while more than 300 people will watch the live telecast. All invitees will receive a link to watch the wedding one day before the ceremony. This live link will have a passcode for security reasons.
On the other hand, the popular food delivery chain, Zomato, was excited about this. A senior executive from Zomata stated that they have discussed this proposal and were thrilled to work on it in view of the third wave. Zomato also plans to cash in on this idea and it might promote more such events in future.
Well the wedding culture is also undergoing a transition and the real vibe of wedding can be experienced only with personal presence.
