India’s richest man and Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani is now the owner of the most expensive car in the country. Recently Ambani bought Rolls Royce’s first ever Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Cullinan and the cost of this car is said to be Rs 13.14 crore.
Well RR’s Cullinan’s original cost is Rs 6.95 crore ex-showroom but since Ambani will be commuting in it, the swanky SUV was heavily customised with many luxury and tech features. It’s a 12 cylinder petrol engine that produces 564 BHP and weighs around 2.5 tonnes.
Coming to the taxes paid for the car, Rs 20 Lakh was remunerated for the registration and additional Rs 40,000 for the safety tax. Ambani being the VVIP person of the country, Reliance Industries shelled out Rs 12 Lakh for a fancy number.
Generally fancy numbers for vehicles are available at Rs 4 Lakh but the number asked by Mukesh Ambani is not available with the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and so it released a new series and provided an ‘0001’ number for Ambani.
Ambani’s new car went for registration at the Tardeo Regional Transport Office in South Mumbai on January 31st.
The garage at Antilla often makes it to headlines for high end luxury cars and nearly six floors are allotted for the four wheeler parking. The latest Rolls Royce is just another addition.
