The Indian government has yet again observed an abstaining stand in the UN Security Council vote calling for a rare special emergency session of the UN General Assembly on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The resolution was adopted with 11 votes in favour while India, China and the UAE abstained.
This comes after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke to PM Modi during the weekend and asked for India’s help against Putin’s invasion. Yet the Indian government maintained its stand against Ukraine.
