Idli is the most common breakfast down the south. It is easy to prepare and takes less time comparatively than other traditional breakfast options. In Bengaluru, a start-up has come up with an Idli vending machine that can prepare Idli in just 55 seconds and that’s really quick.
A video of the ‘IDLI ATM’ has hit social media and has gone viral too. Reacting to this video, Mahindra Groups chairman Anand Mahindra asked the people about the taste of the Idli and added that he would soon be visiting it and trying his choice of idli.
“So many have attempted to create robotic food prep/vending machines. Presume this meets FSSAI standards & the ingredients are refreshed adequately? How is the taste, Bengaluru folks? I’d love to see this pop up in airports/malls globally. Will be a major ‘cultural’ export!,” tweeted Anand Mahindra.
Anand was absolutely spot on and we definitely need to have such vending machines mostly that can prepare Indian breakfast in minutes. If they are cost effective, the public would definitely use them because it doesn’t burn their pockets/wallets much.
