‘India As A Nation Should Not Celebrate New Year’

The whole world is gripped with New Year mood. In Hyderabad, all the shopping malls, pubs and entertainment places have made extensive arrangements to attract people with fancy packages. 

Suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh objected this New Year celebrations. In a video message, Raja Singh said “New Year is a western trend but not Indian culture. People especially the youth should be aware and stay away from such bad practices. I believe that India as a nation should not celebrate New Year on January 1st.”

This video from  Raja Singh has stormed the internet and is inviting mixed reactions. The pro BJP and Bajrang Dal activists have warned pubs in the twin cities against New Year celebrations. But the police and respective pubs have made security arrangements to tackle these warnings.
