Call it good news for the boozers and alcohol drinkers in Telangana. As New Year’s Eve arrives, the liquor is in great demand. Keeping this demand in to consideration, Telangana government has decided to ease the rules on liquor sale.
On Dec 31st, liquor sale is allowed till midnight. So, retail liquor outlets and wine shops will be open till 12 AM. Meanwhile, the Bar & Restaurants are allowed to serve alcohol and food till 1 am. This is expected to boost the state revenue by huge margin and also incur huge profits to business owners.
Meanwhile, the police department has upped the security. They have issued fresh rules and regulations to pubs, bars, three star and five star hotels. The police department asked the organisers of new year parties to install CCTV cameras at the entry and exit of all the parties and pubs.
They have also asked the organisers and owners to ensure CCTV surveillance at the parking lots in order to avoid any untoward incidents. The police department passed strict orders to new year party organisers to not allow any dirty dances or sleazy shows.
The sound is permitted only upto 45 decibels at these public places and asked the organisers and pub owners to not to exceed these sound limits while playing out the songs. The police said no permission to loud music causing inconvenience to others.
Meanwhile, the police have also asked the new year party organisers and pub owners not to allow minors. They have asked the organisers to double the ID cards before allowing them inside of the events.
It is also instructed not to sell entry tickets and passes beyond the limit. The police also beefed up security to carry drunk and drive tests across the city in the late hours. They have stated that there is zero tolerance on drunk driving.
