Universal Studios has announced plans for a new theme park that will be built in Texas. According to the press release, the park will be unlike any other in the world and will have a lush green landscape with immersive-themed lands. This park is designed for young children and families.
Universal has studios in Hollywood near Los Angeles, Universal Studios Florida, and Islands of Adventure in Orlando. The new studio will be built on 97 acres in Frisco, Texas, about 30 miles north of Dallas.
The Chairman and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts said that Texas is a growing, vibrant city, centrally located, and appeals to families with young children. A themed hotel is also planned to accompany the park.
The opening date of this new Universal Studios-themed park is not announced yet.
Meanwhile, Universal Studios Hollywood will officially open its highly anticipated Super Nintendo World on February 17. In Florida, the new Minions-themed land will be opened in the summer of 2023. Universal also planned for one Epic Universe, the fourth park at the Orlando resort, joining Universal Studios Florida, Islands Of Adventure, and the Volcano Bay waterpark.
