Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s attack on the nepotism mafia is known to all. Kangana has been very active on Twitter again after the ban was lifted and she responded to the announced ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Awards’ for the year 2022.
Learning that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are to be honored at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, Kangana took indirect potshots at Bollywood’s nepotism. Not just slammed at the so-called ‘nepo mafia’, but Kangana also put out her own list of deserving talent. The list has Rishab Shetty, Mrunal Thakur, SS Rajamoulu, Anupam Kher, and Tabu.
She tweeted, ‘Awards season is here and nepo mafia is at it again, snatching all awards from the deserving talent. Here’s a list of some of those who displayed volcanic artistic brilliance and owned 2022.
Best Actor -Rishab Shetty ( Kantara)
Best Actress-Mrunal Thakur ( Sita Ramam)
Best director- SS Rajamouli ( RRR)
Best supporting actor- Anupam Kher ( Kashmir Files)
Best supporting actress- Tabu ( Drishyaman/Bhool Bhulaiya)
Bolly awards are a big sham … when I get some time from my schedule I will make a list of all those I feel are deserving … thanks’
She called the Bolly awards a big sham and she also announced she will make a list of all those she feels deserving. It has to be seen if the actors in Kangana’s list will respond to this.
Meanwhile, the winners list of Dada Saheb Phalke awards this year has RRR as the ‘film of the year’, Rishab Shetty as ‘Most Promising Actor’, Ranbir Kapoor as the ‘Best actor’ for Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt as the ‘Best Actress’ for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. ‘The Kashmir Files’ won the ‘Best Movie’ award. Veteran actress Rekha also won an award at Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards ceremony.
