In a sacred place like Tirumala hills, the most atrocious events are happening. On Saturday the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) vigilance officials caught a man selling Ganja (marijuana).
The TTD vigilance officials received credible information that prohibited substances are being sold on the hill top. Based on secret information, the officials carried out raids and in this search operation, they have identified a man roaming suspiciously. Detaining him, the officials learned that he was selling ganja.
When searched the man tied a ganja packet to his legs under the pants and about 125 grams of ganja was seized by the officials. The Tirumala police swung into action and took the man into their custody. The police informed the media that they have launched an investigation and will interrogate the person selling ganja.
This is an unacceptable crime to sell such prohibited substances atop a hill. However some serious questions arise as to how the person was able to breach the security check located at the entrance of seven hills? Is there any lapse in the security check?
TTD’s image took a beating in recent years and it’s high time the governing body takes stringent measures to restore its faith and glory.
