Tech giant Apple had no direct access to the Indian market all these days. Their phones and other products were sold through third party dealers and there was an impression that Apple is losing potential customers. Sensing the same, Apple has decided to enter the Indian market on its own and here comes their first ever store in India’s financial capital, Mumbai.
None other than Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple graced the occasion of Apple’s first store opening and he opened the doors for the customers. The Apple Store in Mumbai is located at Jio World Mall at Bandra Kurla Complex. Indians love iPhone and so Apple fans queued up at the store in large numbers. As soon as the doors were opened, customers entered the place and purchased the gadget of their choice.
Apple will also be opening their second store and it will be in the national capital. The second outlet is slated for opening on April 20th. There are demands for new outlets in Bengaluru and Hyderabad and Apple is seriously considering stepping here.
With an aim to expand its business, Apple has entered the direct market. In the financial year 2022-23, Apple exports from India are estimated to have crossed USD 5 billion. ‘Made In India’ iPhone is part of the exports.
