Casino man Chikoti Praveen has been reportedly arrested in Thailand by the local police. This afternoon reports surfaced on social media that Chikoti Praveen was arrested during a special operation by the Thai police on a gambling gang.
In the police operation, they arrested 93 persons including 16 women and among them is allegedly Chikoti Praveen. The police reportedly seized gambling chips worth Rs 20 crore and large amounts of cash during the raids. Indian currency was also seized by the cops from a couple of persons who were arrested.
Pictures of arrested people are widely circulating on social media and a person with a grey beard wearing a black t-shirt appeared as Chikoti Praveen even though there is no conclusive evidence.
The Thai police are yet to make an official statement on this arrest. Gambling, casinos etc are banned in Thailand and the Thai police received credible information of the gambling gang. Accordingly an operation was carried out and subsequently people were arrested.
