The remand report of priest Ayyagari Saikrishna, 36, accsued in the murder of one Kuruganti Apsara, 30, made some startling revelations about the killing. It stated that the duo got in touch with each other in April last year. A week before killing Apsara, Saikrishna searched ‘how to kill human being’ on Google, the report said.
Apsara went missing on the outskirts of Hyderabad on June 4 and Saikrishna lodged a missing complaint about her.
Apsara’s family relocated to Hyderabad from Chennai and then Apsara used to frequently visit the Bangaru Maisamma temple in Saroornagar seeking divine intervention in getting a chance in movies.
Saikrishna was the chief priest in the same temple and the duo got close to each other after sharing their mobile numbers. In November last year, they went on a trip to Somnath and Dwaraka temples in Gujarat when they developed a special bond. Apsara proposed to Saikrishna through WhatsApp. She mounted pressure on him to marry her and even threatened to make the love affair public by posting their photos on social media, if he did not.
As the priest was married and having a family, he feared the worst if she made their affair public and hence, planned to eliminate Apsara. As part of it, he called up Apsara and said that he had planned a trip to Coimbatore, a place to which she had been longing to go along with Saikrishna.
On June 3 at 8.15 pm, he took her to Shamshabad airport where he revealed that they were not going to Coimbatore but to the Goshala nearby. Then they reached a hotel and had their dinner. Later, they went to the Goshala and spent the entire night there. At this time, they had an argument following which he smashed her head with a stone and dumped her body in a manhole in Saroornagar behind the temple where he worked, as it was an isolated place.
