US: Riot For Free Play Station Consoles, Popular Influencer Arrested

A famous video game influencer Kia Carlo Cenat III was arrested and charged with ‘inciting a riot’ at Union Square in New York City.

Kia Ceant advertised that he would be giving away free Play Station consoles and gift cards among other items. Thousands appeared at Union Square much before the announced start time of 4 pm.

At least 2000 people turned up and violence erupted at Union Square in which 65 rioters were arrested by NYPD and 30 of whom were juveniles in Manhattan.

Police charged the influencer with multiple criminal offences including at least two counts of inciting a riot and unlawful assembly.

Shocking photos and videos showed thousands of people gathered while some were seen fighting and others throwing fire extinguishers at each other in downtown 12 people were reportedly injured.

Cenat is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch and has 5.5 million followers on Instagram.
